Do not use peroxide, rubbing alcohol, ear piercing solutions, tea tree oil, ointments, harsh soaps, saline eyewash, bactine, or fragrance on healing piercings.
Piercings will feel healed within a month or two, but are not finished healing for 4-12 months. We only pierce with impant grade titanium. Surgical Steel jewelry contains Nickel, as well as Sterling Silver, so it is best to avoid those metals.
They are open puncture wounds. This means that they will more than likely be prone to bleeding in the beginning, and potentially sore for a few days. Ibuprofen and/or a cold compress may help relieve these symptoms.
Wash your hands before ever touching your piercing.
Piercings should only be touched to clean or adjust your jewelry. The less you mess with it, the better it will heal.
Internal (inside of the mouth)
Use an alcohol free and hydrogen peroxide free mouth rinse 1x a day.
Rinse with bottled or filtered water thoroughly after every time you eat or drink. (Also after you smoke, however smoking is not recommended.)
Gently brush jewelry with a clean toothbrush to avoid plaque build up.
External (outside of the mouth)
Use the Steriwash spray we provide 2x a day.
Rinse with warm water in the shower once a day. If debris is stubborn, rinse longer in the shower, do not touch or use q tips.
